All yoga mats are not created equal and the Manduka PRO series are the ones I recommend for a long lasting, firm and grippy surface for practice. This is for the PROLite mat, which is almost the same as the PRO. It is 5cm narrower and 1.3mm thinner at 4.7mm thick.
The PRO is amazing and the PROLite is similar and a bit lighter. We stock this as it’s more affordable and lighter for taking with you to the studio.
This mat will see you through years and years and years of practice and still be in wonderful condition. Common problems people have when they purchase a new mat are that they lift from the ground, they slip around, they are too light and the foam starts to chip off. There is usually a common cycle of upgrading mats for a few years before landing on one like the Manduka Pro series of mats.
I recommend skipping straight to one that you will love using straight away.
And as many yogis can attest, your energy becomes infused into this rectangular space and it’s nice to have one that’s with you for the long haul.
They measure 61cm x 180cm and are 4.7mm thick.
